Decision Assurance Infrastructure
Summit Cognitive
§ Company

The layer between AI output and the audit.

Summit Cognitive exists for a single moment: the one where someone has to defend a machine-assisted decision — to an Inspector General, a regulator, a court, or a commander — and the evidence either holds or it doesn't.

§ 01

Why this company exists

Most AI systems produce outputs. They do not produce proof. That gap is tolerable while AI only recommends. It becomes intolerable the moment AI acts — because the audit always arrives later, and reconstruction after the fact is not evidence.

Consequential decisions routinely outlive the evidence and reasoning behind them. An analyst's judgment, an acquisition evaluation, a compliance determination — the conclusion survives in a memo, but the chain that produced it evaporates. AI accelerates this failure: it moves from recommendation to action faster than any organization can document why the action was allowed to matter.

Summit builds the infrastructure that closes the gap. Every machine-generated decision becomes reviewable, reproducible, and defensible: evidence with provenance, policies evaluated deny-by-default, deterministic replay, and a signed receipt that an independent party can verify without trusting us.

Trust has to be earned at the moment of decision, not claimed after the fact.

If a system cannot reproduce its reasoning under audit, it should not be used for decision-making.
§ 02

Founder-led, built in public

Summit is led by its founder, and the work is visible: live demos, open specifications, and receipts anyone can verify.

Brian Long is the Founder and CEO of Summit Cognitive. His work focuses on one question: how can organizations trust a decision if the reasoning behind it cannot be reproduced, traced, and reviewed?

At Summit, he is building cognitive infrastructure that makes AI-assisted decisions reviewable, reproducible, and defensible — through evidence provenance, replayability, and independent verification. He writes and builds at the intersection of decision integrity, cognitive security, and accountable automation in high-consequence environments.

Brian Long builds the layer between AI output and the audit.

What we publish, what we build

The standards are open so the category can outgrow us. The platform is how the standards become operational.

Work with us where it counts.

The fastest way to evaluate Summit is a 10-day pilot on one real workflow — receipts for every decision, findings in writing.
